General:
Deciduous perennial, 2-10 cm tall.
Sporophores:
Double, 2 per leaf, 1-pinnate, 0.5-4 cm long.
Trophophores:
Entirely converted into a second fertile segment.

Habitat / Range

Mesic to moist sedge meadows in the subalpine zone; rare in SC BC, known only from Juniper Creek (Ashnola River) and Mt. Kobau; E to SK and S to MT, UT, ID and OR.
